Eastern Conference: Boston Celtics: The Celtics' big man, Tony Battie, went out with an ankle injury on January 2nd and it looked pretty bad. The Celtics have been carrying on Battie and look for Potapenko to help with more defense as a starter. Charlotte Hornets: There aren't major injuries to the hornets, except for the injury on Campbell which could altar his performance just a little bit. He is expected back on Wednesday. Miami Heat: The Heat are having a year of definite "Mourning" with Zo's Kidney problem that ends his season. I guess the Heat was well prepared when they signed Brian Grant, because he has really help the Heat downlow in the post. Orlando Magic: All I have to really do is laugh and roll on the ground when it comes to the Magic. Their main franchise player, Grant Hill, got injured for the season and they wasted soo much money on him too. The Magic aren't in deep poopoo just yet, but I don't T-Mac can hold that leadership role for too long. Philadelphia 76ers: The Sixers are 1st place in the Eastern Conference and Iverson is carrying the team with a heavy load on his back. With Eric Snow out for 6-8 weeks, look for McKie, Lynch, and Kukoc to step up a whole lot. If neither one of them doesn't step up more in any of the games, the sixers definitely will lose more game along the way.

Western Conference Houston Rockets: The Rockets are playing better than expected this season, but they will hit a big bump in the road with both their key inside centers, Olajuwon and Kato, out and both with knee injuries. They Rockets might be starting the slightly used Carlos Rogers and the Rockets will definitely have alot of guard production from Francis and Mobely. Phoenix Suns: Even though the Suns are up in the standing, the Suns made it in the ranks without Penny Hardaway and Mario Elie. Hardaway is definitely one of their franchise players and he didn't even play one game of the regular season. If he comes back in time, the Suns will be a fully equipped basketball club.
