Lakers-81 Final Score Knicks-91 Game Summary: The Lakers started the game without Shaq with an injury and hoping to become more together to win against the Knicks, but that did not happen as the Knicks sloughtered the Lakers deep in the meat market, 91-81. It was a beautiful day in New York, but not for the Lakers, who were hoping that Rider would step up, but only had 7 points. The person who did step up was Robert Horry with 18 points. Kobe was definitely not his usual self with 33 points, but only 44% shooting, plus most of his points were frfom free thorows too. The Knicks were phenomenal in the game while they led the whole game. Charlie Ward played very good defense and that was the difference from a win and a loss for the Knicks. Ward stopped Kobe most of the times in the fast break and stumped him by making Kobe miss alot of his jump shots. The Knicks offensive player was, no other than, Allan Houston, with 33 points. He lit the floor up with his unstoppable shooting. The Knicks weren't held up by Allan Houston though. Latrell Sprewell drilled hole in the Lakers defense as he was weaving though with tough layups. Key Players: Charlie Ward(NYK!)- He played extremely well defense on Kobe and really player solid basketball. Robert Horry(L.A. Lakers)- The Lakers would have lost by alot if he didn't score those 18 points.
(A) The Lakers continue to have sucess in the triangle offense. Having Shaquille O'Neal (34) doesn't hurt to if your are the Lakers The Lakers create the triangle with Shaq, Kobe Bryant (8), and Ron Harper.

(B) O'neal (34) steps out to set a pick for Bryant (8), who dribbles into the key. Shaq rolls to the hoop, and it becomes pretty obvious what's gonna to happen - the Lakers are gonna to put up points.
